Planning Your Menu

Blugold Catering provides food and alcohol service for all campus events. Their experienced staff will work to create the perfect menu for your celebration. Tastings are available upon request.

Once you have secured a room for your event, your next step is to plan your menu. To do that, please create an account and reserve your event date with catering in Catertrax, our online ordering system.  

To assure the highest quality service, please notify us at least ten working days in advance for dinners, luncheons or large receptions. 
For small receptions, coffees or takeout orders, seven working days notice is requested. A guaranteed count is requested three days before the event.

ON CAMPUS: If a student is placing an order on behalf of a department- contact information in CaterTrax will need to be the person responsible for paying the invoice and will also be the approver of the event order 

*Please note that there will now be a $500 minimum order for Saturday events. 

Alcohol Service

Blugold Catering provides all alcohol service on campus. Both cash bars and hosted bars are available for your special evening. We will also do our best to accommodate any special requests for unique cocktails or specialty beers. 

Cash Bar
Guests pay for all alcoholic beverages and soda.
Bar Set-up - $125.00 (1 Bartender for 2 hours)
        - Additional $50 per bartender, per hour

Open Bar
Event sponsor pays for all alcoholic beverages and soda.
Bar Set-up - $125.00 (1 Bartender for 2 hours) 
                    - Additional $50 per bartender, per hour

Groups that would like to provide a bar or alcohol service at their event must have an Alcohol Authorization Form on file and approved by Event Services no fewer than ten working days before the event.

Outside food/drink

Blugold Dining has exclusive rights to provide all types of food services on campus. 

No meeting/event exceeding 25 attendees and/or food or beverage cost in excess of $250 may be provided by campus organizations, departments, or off-campus vendors unless authorization is granted through Blugold Dining at least 2 weeks in advance.

All student, faculty and community groups wishing to bring food to their meetings or events must complete a Dining Waiver or discuss your request directly with Catering at least 2 weeks in advance of the event if the food and/or beverage cost exceeds $250 or your meeting/event exceeds 25 attendees.

Unauthorized food service may result in the revocation of campus reservation privileges.

Our culinary team has designed a variety of menus to fit a wide range of tastes and budgets, including regional ingredients, University favorites and specialty items. Our Catering Guide will help you through the planning process of your special event, and provide suggestions of what we can do to make your event memorable, from start to finish. Should you desire a customized menu for your event, we will be happy to meet with you to create a special menu for your specific needs.

We especially welcome non-profit organizations to consider the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire for weekend and summer meetings, conferences and conventions.
