What to Expect When Visiting

Visits include a 30-minute presentation and a student-led, 90-minute tour of campus. The exact details and the amount of time depends on the visit you choose. Tour highlights include checking out a residence hall, some of our academic buildings, student spaces, and more! 

Visit Details and Recommendations

  • Check your inbox. We’ll send you reminders before your visit. (Parking, visit updates, and notes.)
  • Check the weather before you arrive to know what’s comfortable to wear (clothes and footwear). We recommend this being in the Midwest where the forecast changes often.
  • Bring your energy. The walking tour will take you to academic and student spaces on lower campus as well as navigating stairs and our university hill to upper campus to see a residence hall and recreation areas.

I was touring a bunch of different schools around Wisconsin. I remember my first tour here, I was walking down the hill and my mom and turned and looked at me and she said, "You look really comfortable here. This looks like where you're spending the next four years." And I laughed and joked about it, saying that it was such a cliche and it was cheesy of her to say that. But then I went home, made a pros and cons list, and UW-Eau Claire had a lot of pros and very few cons. It's been a really good decision.
