On CampS, you have the ability to indicate whether you want your email address to be excluded from releases to third parties. This is similar to "opting out" of a mailing list and most requesters of contact information honor the student's choice to opt out of receiving third party mailings and solicitations.
How to exclude your email address from released to third parties:
Step 1
Login to CampS and click on the Academic Records tile.
Step 2
Then select “Third Party Email Access” from the navigation menu.
Step 3
You’ll then select “Exclude” which means you do not want the university to release your email address to third-parties. Once this is selected, save your changes.
Note: This only restricts most communications with businesses. Some third parties may obtain your contact information from the online directory; therefore, you may receive some information from those third parties. However, excluding your email address from third party releases greatly reduces the majority of communications.
