Variety of Clinical Settings and Focuses
Clinical experiences are conducted in a wide variety of acute care and community-based clinical sites in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Marshfield. Practicums take place in public health departments, extended care and residential facilities, and schools.
Clinical experiences begin in a spacious, well-equipped, and technologically advanced skills lab/ clinic/ and clinical simulation area. You will have many computer-assisted supports available throughout the curriculum and are encouraged to use the skills lab on an ongoing basis to continue developing the technical skills for practice.
Clinical courses begin in the second semester of the professional nursing program, typically during the second semester of the sophomore year.
