The Communication and Journalism Center (CJC) Facilities

The Communication and Journalism Center (CJC) is home to a state of the art broadcast suite, photography studio, computer labs, and student media offices.

The Henry Lippold Broadcast Suite

Named for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Emeritus faculty member and Wisconsin Broadcast Association Hall of Fame inductee Henry Lippold, the Henry Lippold Broadcast Suite contains a:

Radio studio
TV studio
TV control room
TV audio booth

Communication and journalism students use the Broadcast suite in the classes and in their student organizations.

Photography Studio

The photography studio provides students with access to both high quality photography equipment and the space needed to enhance their photography practice.

Computer Labs

Access industry standard software, such as the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, on either PC or Mac platforms in one of the CJC's computer labs. The Mac lab contains 20 mac mini computers that are available for use when there are no classes using the space. The PC lab is available whenever the CJC is open, and it contains 4 Dell configurations set up for high-end video and audio editing.

Blugold Media Offices

The CJC is home to the Spectator, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student newspaper, and Blugold Radio.
