Kris is an Associate Professor in and Department Chair of the Department of Communication and Journalism. She teaches classes in communication studies and organizational communication.

I am a teaching professor in the Communication + Journalism department, teaching mostly in the Communication Studies emphasis. I also serve as the director of UWEC Forensics, the intercollegiate competitive speech team on our campus

My teaching and research are primarily in the analysis of public forms of communication (i.e., rhetoric & media studies), especially as applied to our communication about the environment.
