Biography
I am an associate professor in Education for Equity and Justice at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on STEM Education in June 2018. My research interest is focused on LGBTQ+ inclusion in STEM content areas with a focus of Critical Care Theory. I teach courses on methods, assessment, and technology. I started the LGBTQ+ Teacher Mentors organization in 2019 to create a social network connecting preservice and inservice teachers who identify as LGBTQ+. I taught science and mathematics in public-schools for twenty years, and I identify as a queer trans man.
