Susan Tily, Ph.D.

Susan Tily is an assistant professor in the Department of Education for Equity and Justice. Susan taught elementary school in New Jersey for 11 years before returning to graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin in Language and Literacy Studies. I completed my PhD in 2021 and currently teach literacy methods courses and introduction to education courses. Susan's research interests include inclusive writing pedagogies, discourses about reading instruction, and induction support for early-career teachers.
