Biography
Jason D. Spraitz joined the faculty at UW-Eau Claire in 2011. He received his Ph.D. in criminology that year from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He regularly teaches Crime Prevention (CRMJ 303), Contemporary Issues in Criminal Justice (CRMJ 360), and oversees the Criminal Justice Internship (CRMJ 498) program. Since 2013, his research has focused on various aspects of clergy sexual abuse and institutional sexual abuse. His research has appeared in Sexual Abuse, Criminal Justice Policy Review, Journal of Crime & Justice, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, and Deviant Behavior. His latest book, Institutional Sexual Abuse in the #MeToo Era, was published in 2021.
