Scott Benson

I was a school psychologist for 31 years prior to retiring in 2017. I worked Pre-K through 12 as School Psychologist/Special Education Designee for the School District of Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan from 1986-1997, and as a school psychologist for the Eau Claire Area School District from 1997-2017. I have extensive experience in PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) and in working with systems-level programming, having been trained and serving in Internal- and External Coaching roles (Tiers I- and II) as well as having been certified as a SWIS (School Wide Information System) Trainer and Coordinator for regional school districts. My passions have been in the areas of Intellectual-, Academic-, and Behavioral-Assessment, Behavioral Intervention, and Parent Advocacy and Relationship Building. My wife is a Pediatric (Birth-to-Three) Physical Therapist and our three daughters are all venturing forth in the world in their various healthcare careers. In my spare time I'm a professional musician and enjoy motorcycling, boating, and family-time.
