Photo Submission Guidelines (2 Steps)

STEP 1:  Submit a current photo of yourself taken in accordance with the U.S Department of State Passport Standards.

Acceptable:

• Current photo in color with .jpg format
• White plain white background required
• Centered, front view of full face
• Cropped from just above the top of the head down to the collarbone
• Proper lighting
• Eyes open and visible
• Straight face or smile
• Wear prescription glasses if you normally do so
• Head coverings allowed if you wear it daily for religious purposes
• Full face must be visible
• Covering cannot obscure hairline or cast shadows on face

Unacceptable:

• Wearing a hat, sunglasses, or anything that obscures the face
• No shadows on the face, glare on glasses, or red eyes
• Other visible people or objects in the photo
• No props or hand gestures allowed
• Inappropriate expressions
• Copyright images

STEP 2:  Submit your Government-Issued Photo ID

Take a picture of your government-issued photo identification.  Make sure that the full ID is pictured.  Submit Photo ID.  Acceptable forms of government-issued photo identification include a driver’s license or passport.

If your photo is not approved, you will receive an email with an explanation and a link for resubmission.  All communication from the Blugold Card Office will be sent to your UWEC email address.

Mobile ID photo submission instructions for eAccounts

• Download the free eAccounts app in your app store
• Open eAccounts App
• Swipe through prompts
• Tap “Get Started”
• Search for “University of WI Eau Claire”
• Tap “UWEC Log In”
• Login using UWEC credentials
• Click on the Gear Icon (upper right corner)
• Tap “Submit ID Photo”
• Upload or take a current photo that meets U.S. Department of State passport stands
• Upload a photo of your Driver’s License, Passport, or other government IDPhoto

Approval can take up to (1) business day

Once approved your Blugold Mobile ID will be added to your eAccounts (this can take up to 30 minutes).

Once your Blugold ID is in eAccounts follow these instructions:

• Use your Blugold credentials to log in to eAccounts
• Complete any verification steps
• Tap “Add to your Apple Wallet/Google Pay/Samsung Wallet
• Tap “Next”, Agree to Terms and Conditions
• The App automatically installs your Blugold Mobile ID to your smartphone

Your Blugold Mobile ID is now ready to use and will be viewable on your phone!

Your ID can easily tap without having to open your phone.
