Present at Regional, National, or International Professional Conferences
ORSP student travel awards are made to assist students traveling to regional, national or international professional meetings/conferences to present the results of collaborative research and creative activity. Apply up to two times a year to help fund travel to present at a research conference/professional meeting. Students may receive up to $700 for the first trip and a total of $1000 for the year.
The College of Arts and Sciences' STEM Opportunity Fund aims to help students who are underrepresented in their STEM fields connect to organizations and resources beyond campus to support their academic careers and provide mentorship and community. Students can apply for financial support through Gold for Blugolds and can use the funds for membership in professional organizations or attendance at conferences.
Many professional societies offer travel funds for students (e.g., reduced conference registration fees). Check the conference/society website or contact ORSP for assistance.
The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) has travel funds for some disciplines. UW-Eau Claire has an Enhanced Institutional Membership, so you can become a CUR member for free.
