This committee formed to advise the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in generating and combining ideas from across the college in a broad range of disciplines. This group helped establish and run the Center for Environmental Research and Scholarship, including its research grants and seminar series, as well as fostering interdisciplinary communication.

Dr. James Boulter is a professor of chemistry and the chair of UW-Eau Claire’s Public Health and Environmental Studies department. His Ph.D. is in analytical chemistry with an emphasis in atmospheric sciences from the University of Colorado-Boulder. His areas of teaching and scholarship include air pollution, climate change, and sustainability.
I am a broadly trained physical geographer with a research specialization in fluvial geomorphology (the study of landforms created and modified by rivers). I teach a variety of introductory and upper-level courses in both physical and environmental geography, and I have an active program of collaborative research with undergrad students.
