Admission to the Online Master of Public Health Program

Admission to the online MPH is based on institutional requirements and a holistic evaluation of demonstrated academic ability, professional experience, and program fit.

Candidates for admission must submit the following materials:

  • Online application form
  • Application fee
  • Official college or university transcripts from all institutions attended showing proof of baccalaureate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0. If applicable, submit graduate transcripts as well.
  • A statement of purpose of addressing each of the following questions: What from your personal and/or professional history motivated you to pursue a graduate degree in Public Health? How do you plan to use the MPH degree to support your personal and/or professional growth?
  • Current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Contact information for three (3) academic or professional references. Please include each contact’s name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • No GRE required.

Applicants who do not meet the GPA requirement are encouraged to contact the MPH Director at mph@uwec.edu to discuss options.

Additional requirements for international applicants

Applications are accepted for fall, spring, and summer start dates and reviewed on a rolling basis.

Accelerated Master of Public Health Program (AMP)

UWEC undergraduates must complete this application form to apply to the accelerated MPH program (AMP). AMP admission requirements are found in the graduate catalog.
