There are seven dimensions of wellness: mental, physical, social, financial, spiritual, environmental, and vocational. Explore the many ways you can find support on your wellness goals at UWEC.

Mental Wellness
Being a student can be tough, but Counseling Services has your back. They provide essential counseling to students who find themselves struggling with depression, anxiety, stress and a variety of other mental health concerns.
Physical Wellness
While you’re here to expand your mind, you can’t do that without taking care of your body. Student Health Services is your go-to stop for health care services, often at no cost. Recreation & Sports Operations can help connect you with opportunities for fitness such as group exercise or intramural sports. And the UWEC Police offer services to help keep you safe on and off campus.

A Home Track to Brag About
The newly upgraded Simpson Field on UWEC's upper campus is home to several varsity and intramural/club sports. New turf, lighting, a resurfaced track, and stadium seating makes it a great place to watch or play a favorite sport, or take in a Blugold Marching Band practice.

Let the Games Begin!
The 40-acre Bollinger Fields complex provides top-notch fields for intramural and club sports, as well as varsity softball and soccer. Bollinger has been the site of decades of team bonding, team spirit, and fun. And the facilities are fully upgraded.

Go the Extra (Blugold) Mile
Eau Claire is now host to the "Best Marathon in Wisconsin," and a big part of the appeal for runners is the Blugold Mile. The marching band, student orgs, and hundreds of Blugolds line the campus leg of the race and cheer on those runners!
Environmental Wellness
Environmental wellness is all about having a healthy relationship with your surroundings, the earth, and its resources. The Student Office of Sustainability is dedicated to fostering sustainability in our campus community through innovation, education, and foundational improvements. And the Administrative Office of Sustainability is the catalyst for sustainability projects on campus.
Career & Academic Wellness
Of course, there is plenty of support for your academic and career exploration, too.
