Biography

Biography

Dr. Lindo teaches courses in English methods, rhetoric, ethics as well as supervises student teachers in the English education program. Her research specifically focuses on AAPI girl literacies, reader response theory, AsianCrit, and Critical Race Theory. Dr. Lindo earned her B.A. from The University of Iowa in English Education in 2007; her M.A. in English literature in 2017; and her PhD in Language, Literacy, and Culture in 2024. Her dissertation explored how high school AAPI girls read and respond to AAPI young adult literature while having critical conversations about sociocultural issues. Before Dr. Lindo started teaching college, she had 17 years of experience teaching middle and high school students English language arts. Dr. Lindo enjoys her students at The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and centers equity, love, and joy in her lessons.
