First-Year Student Housing

You'll live in one of the traditional residence halls on campus your first year. They're all nearby and full of student life!

Bridgman Hall
Bridgman Hall is located on upper campus near fitness facilities and transportation stops. This long-time favorite is an all co-ed residence hall with amenities to make your time at UW-Eau Claire enjoyable. It is also home to the Honors LLC and Aspiring Educators LLC.

Governors Hall
Governors is a co-ed residence hall located on upper campus. Featuring the Hmong LLC, Governors Hall is located near Crest Wellness Center and just a short walk to Hilltop.
Horan Hall
Horan Hall
Horan Hall is a co-ed hall of approximately 200 student located right at the top of the hill on upper campus. It is conveniently located next to Hilltop Center, which houses the cafeteria, recreation facilities and more. Horan is also home to the Outdoor Adventure LLC.
Karlgaard Towers residence hall
Karlgaard Towers
Take your experience at UWEC to new heights by finding a room in the Karlgaard Towers. Living in the tallest buildings on campus, positioned on upper campus, puts you at the top—literally.

Murray Hall
Murray Hall is located in the perfect spot on upper campus, right between the food and fun. This coed hall is spacious, but the fewer number of rooms creates the opportunity to get to know nearly everyone in your building. There’s plenty of community space, including a kitchen, lounge and game room to for hang outs.

Oak Ridge Hall
Oak Ridge Hall is located on upper campus near the basketball courts, sand volleyball courts and a bus stop for easy access to lower campus and city bus routes. Primarily a first-year co-ed hall, Oak Ridge is home to the Leadership LLC as well as the gender-inclusive Rainbow Pod.

Sutherland Hall
With room for 400 students, this co-ed building is currently the second largest traditional-style residence hall on campus. Located on upper campus near Crest Wellness Center, Sutherland is home to the Multicultural Student Services LLC.

Returning Student Housing

Choose to live in one of the off-campus apartment- or suite-style buildings offering a bit more freedom after your first year. Returning students can still live in any of the on-campus traditional residence halls.

Aspenson Mogensen
Aspenson Mogensen
Live in the city and close to campus. This residence hall is near campus, across the Chippewa River on Water Street. It offers apartment-style living in a 12-month contract for returning and transfer students. It has one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units.

This residence hall provides comfort and convenience of staying on campus. It’s apartment-style living available to returning and transfer students. Located on upper campus, it overlooks scenic Putnam Park and the Chippewa River.
Downtown Eau Claire
Haymarket Landing
This off-campus residence hall is apartment-style living in the city. It's in the heart of downtown Eau Claire, close to music, arts, shopping, and great restaurants. Haymarket is available to returning and transfer students.

Priory Hall
This residence hall is a few miles from campus surrounded by nature. It's set on 112 acres of woods! Priory Hall is for returning students who want to have their own room while still living in a community space.
The Suites
The Suites
This residence hall provides suite-style living for returning students. Each suite houses four people and includes a private bathroom. Kitchens on each floor and many study lounges make this residence hall an ideal living space. The first floor is home to the Inclusive Housing Specialty Living Community.
