The UWEC residence halls offer more than just a place to sleep and relax between classes but rather opportunities to be involved in a student community that offers a social, educational, and developmental experience.

Adding yourself to this notification list means that you are authorizing UW-Eau Claire Housing + Residence Life (UWEC) to send a notification email to you when a CVTC cancellation occurs, and a spot becomes available for 2025-26. All persons who have added themselves to this notification list will receive the same notification, and the vacancy will be secured on a first come, first served basis.
Receiving a notification of vacancy does not automatically guaranteeyou a spot in UWEC/CVTC housing. Notification of vacancies will be EMAILED to the addresses listed in this form. Only admitted CVTC Students are eligible to add themselves to the Notification List.
Requirements
Must be an enrolled CVTC student. UWEC will confirm student status with the CVTC Student Life Office.
Submit the UWEC Housing Application and contract. By signing this contract, you are signing a lease with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. As long as you remain an enrolled student at CVTC you will be held to the term of this contract for the academic application period for which you are applying. Understand that you must obey the UWEC Housing Policies.
Payments are made directly to UWEC via mail, online payment or in person at Blugold Central (Vicki Lord Larson Hall 1108, 105 Garfield Ave). A 10% late fee of the remaining balance will be access if payment is not received by the specified deadline.
For Fall or Spring terms, please contact CVTC Student Life Office for parking option on the CVTC campus as there is no availability at UWEC. For Summer Term, residents may park on the UWEC campus in any available “R” designated space for summer only at no charge.
The UWEC student Resident Assistant and full-time staff Hall Director are available to assist students with questions or concerns throughout the academic year.
If you already have a roommate preference, UWEC Housing will try to pair you up based on room availability. If you do not have a roommate preference or we are unable to honor your preference, you will be randomly paired with either another CVTC student or UWEC student.
All residence hall double spaces within Murray Hall are available on a first come first serve basis. Once a student submits their CVTC application, a space is held for this student and the protocol specified in the contract are followed to officially secure the space.
Fall Term: 50 spaces Spring Term: 10 spaces Summer Term: No limit. Based on overall space availability.
2025-2026 rates will not be approved by the UW System Board of Regents until July 2025. For 2024-2025, the Murray Hall double rate is $2,624 per person, per semester.
Fall payments are due in early October. Spring payments are due in mid-February. Students should watch their CVTC emails for their invoice from UWEC Housing with instructions on how to pay.
The deposit/pre-payment is applied to the student's first-term payment.
2024-2025: Move-in is Sunday, August 25, 2024. Students must be moved out no later than Saturday, May 24, 2025.
May 17, 2024 - May 24, 2024: CVTC enrolled residents must register to remain living on campus during this period, as the UWEC spring semester ends on May 17. Due to the longer CVTC academic calendar there will be no additional charge, however, movement to another hall may be required and utility services may be interrupted. There is no meal plan during this period.
Spring 2025: Move-in is Wednesday, January 22. Students must be moved out no later than Saturday, May 24, 2025.

All UWEC residence halls remain open during Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks and are free of charge. Registration is required if staying over a break via My Housing Portal. A separate application is needed if a student wants to stay over the summer (available early April).
