Second Degree Advisors

Dr. Thomas Kemp is Chair and Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He teaches Econometrics, International Trade and Finance, The History of Economic Thought, and Macroeconomics. His ongoing research interests include non-market valuation, skateboarding and skateparks, economic philosophy, and public policy design.

My teaching and research are primarily in the analysis of public forms of communication (i.e., rhetoric & media studies), especially as applied to our communication about the environment. 

Dr. Hendrickson is the Chair of the Physics & Astronomy Department.  He currently teaches the introductory physics courses/labs for both majors and non-majors, but loves teaching across the entire curriculum.  He has recently worked with undergraduate students on research projects involving a cloud chamber and an acoustic levitator.

Dr. James Boulter is a professor of chemistry and the chair of UW-Eau Claire’s Public Health and Environmental Studies department. His Ph.D. is in analytical chemistry with an emphasis in atmospheric sciences from the University of Colorado-Boulder. His areas of teaching and scholarship include air pollution, climate change, and sustainability.

Started teaching at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in Fall 2013.

Dr. Kirstin Rossi joined the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2015. She is an associate professor within the Special Education and Inclusive Practices (SEIP) department. Within the SEIP department, she is the coordinator of the Unified Early Childhood program and teaches a variety of courses in the areas of special education, early childhood education, play and sensory pedagogy, English language learners, cultural diversity, and collaboration.

Dr. Potter completes teaching, scholarship, and service connected with Special Education and Inclusive Practices and is the academic director and advisor for SETT (online pathway for nontraditional students). 

Clinical instructor and Post-Baccalaureate Advisor

Lisa Quinn-Lee is a Professor in the Department of Social Work at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She teaches and researches in the areas of interprofessional practice, health care, end-of-life care, ethics and boundaries, grief and loss, death and dying, mental health, suicide prevention, resilience, and burnout. She spent many years as a clinical social worker and therapist in various health care and mental health settings.
