Handshake Log-In for Students and Alumni

Current Students: Log in to Handshake using your UWEC credentials.

Incoming students: An account will be automatically created for you with your UWEC email address once you register for classes.

Alumni: All UW-Eau Claire alumni have access to Handshake. Alumni may use their Handshake account with a personal email address after graduation.

Alumni who graduated before 2017 likely do not have a Handshake Account already created for them, unless they've worked with our office before. Information for On-Campus Employers

  • Please name your “company” in this format: Department, UW-Eau Claire.
  • Please list location as a city, state (Eau Claire, WI instead of Hibbard Hall), so students can search for job location accurately.
  • If your position could be filled by a student with or without work study, answer “yes”. Many students use “work study” as a search filter and this will ensure your position shows in those results.
  • For additional information, please refer to the Handshake Guide for On-Campus Employers

Information for Local Off-Campus Employers

  • Think of yourself as the “employer” and your household as the “company” when creating an account.  Many name their “company” “Lastname Residence” or “Lastname Household”.
  • Including more detail (address, phone number) is helpful for verifying your employer account.
  • You likely do not have a company website and are welcome to use a public profile (such as a LinkedIn or Facebook page).
