Biography
Dr. Sarbottam Bhagat is an Assistant Professor in the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He holds a PhD in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas, an MBA from Washburn University School of Business, and a BBA from Tribhuvan University (Nepal). Dr. Bhagat’s research focus on understanding behavioral patterns in social media usage, information disclosure and privacy, fake news, information quality, behavioral information security, and the adoption and diffusion of emerging technologies.
His scholarly work has been published in esteemed journals such as ACM SIGMIS Database: The DATABASE for Advances in Information Systems, Behaviour & Information Technology, Information Systems Management, and the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction. Dr. Bhagat has also presented his research at prestigious conferences, including the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS).
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Bhagat has been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society recognizing excellence among business scholars. His professional background spans operations, business development, and consulting, where he has applied his expertise to solve complex business challenges and drive growth.
