Biography
Ms. Lindsay Pohlen, M.S., CCC-SLP joined our department in the fall of 2023. Prior to joining the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, she practiced as a speech-language pathologist in several pediatric settings. Ms. Pohlen worked in outpatient pediatrics and early intervention in the Eau Claire area from 2007-2016 where she served children under the age of three in their natural environments and children from ages 3-21 in in a clinic setting. She then transitioned to working as a school-based speech-language pathologist from 2016-2023, working for CESA 10 and serving the Gilman School District (Gilman, WI) and the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District (Chippewa Falls, WI). During her time in the schools, she served children from ages 3-21. She has experience with a wide variety of areas, but has special interests in service delivery models and clinical supervision. She teaches coursework in facilitating communication in preschoolers and pediatric clinical methodology in addition to coordinating the Center for Communication Disorders (CCD), UWEC's on-campus speech and language clinic, and coordinating off-site school placements for graduate students.
