Matthias McDermott, a biology major and pre-professional health sciences minor, found that the Mark Stephen Cosby Honors College significantly enriched his college experience, particularly in the development of communication skills. In addition to his academic pursuits, he was deeply involved in research, community service and leadership roles, including his work with the National Guard and as an honors mentor.
