Study the Global Economy
While pursuing the certificate, you will take six credits in micro and macroeconomic principles and six credits in various electives, allowing you to study the topics that most interest you or align with your career goals. Study international trade, examine the economies of the Asia-Pacific region or Latin America, or understand the socioeconomic realities of women around the world.
Popular pairings with the economics of global issues certificate include the global studies minor; the Latin American studies major or minor; the women's, gender, and sexuality studies major or minor; and political science programs.
Program Details
Half of the degree requirements that make up the economics of global issues certificate will include courses that are chosen by you. This allows you to personalize your studies and focus on the areas that you are most passionate about.
Students interested in analyzing economic and social issues at an international site may choose to enroll in immersion experiences. These programs count for credit and allow for real-world connections and experiences.
