Art
Explore topics in theory, ethics, and practices of traditional and contemporary art, all while developing your artistic expression with UWEC's art minor.
Create Works of Art
Rooted in experiential learning, you'll explore topics in theory, ethics and practices of traditional and contemporary art. Areas of study are up to you and include drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, photography and painting.
We also offer outside-the-classroom opportunities to hone your skills and develop your artistic expression. Experience field studies, internships, and workshops. The department also regularly features visiting artists, allowing you to learn new techniques and best practices.
An art minor adds value to any major but is most often paired with journalism, English, history, and cultural studies.
