Intro

To better fulfill our mission to serve Wisconsin and learners who seek new opportunities, we will open wider the doorways to transfer, post-traditional, and high school students. We will create new pathways for students of all ages and backgrounds to enrich their careers, explore new opportunities, and take advantage of the transformative power of the Blugold experience and Blugold degree.

Our Strategies

  1. Identify opportunities to serve the specific needs of transfer and post-traditional students, including establishing a specialized student coordinator, providing tailored orientations, offering micro-credentials as entry points for continuing study, and supporting credit for prior learning.
  2. Increase certificates and associate of arts degree offerings for post-traditional students, in response to regional and state needs.
  3. Expand quality online courses to provide more degree completion flexibility for traditional as well as post-traditional students. Explore and develop graduate degree programs, especially those that are entirely online.
  4. Build health-specific on-ramps for transfer students in partnership with regional technical colleges.
  5. Expand articulation agreements with two-year and technical colleges.
  6. Expand marketing efforts to attract transfer and post-traditional students to UW-Eau Claire undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
  7. Create summer programs for students interested in exploring UW-Eau Claire degrees.
  8. Develop targeted dual-enrollment programs that give regional high school students access to the Blugold learning experience.
