Social Work: Assistant Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor

POSITION: 

The Department of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is seeking either a tenure-track faculty member or a clinical instructor to start August 2024. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

For appointment as a tenure-track faculty member - A doctoral degree in social work or a closely related discipline and an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program. Teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level. 

For appointment as a clinical instructor--An MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and at least two years full-time post-MSW employment in social work. Teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Commitment to equity and inclusiveness and ability to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to campus. Ability to teach a broad array of courses across a generalist social work curriculum including both face-to-face and online modalities. Ability and interest in teaching introductory-level social work courses for both social work majors and non-majors. 

DUTIES: 

For appointment as a tenure-track faculty member--Teach four courses per semester as well as engage in scholarship, academic advising, and service to the university and community.

For appointment as a clinical instructor--Teach four courses per semester, as well as engage in academic advising and service to the university and community.
