Dr. Manning has served as dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences (formerly Education and Human Sciences) since 2014. As dean, she is the intellectual and administrative leader of the college and the chief advocate for the college's academic programs, students, faculty, and staff. Manning also serves as co-principal investigator for UW-Eau Claire's $9.4 million Workforce Innovation Grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

- Manage college budgets and provide support to departments regarding budget and accounts
- Maintain college personnel records and track departmental hiring
- Analyze and assure accuracy of faculty and academic staff contracts
- Provide administrative support to the Dean
