Meet the Faculty
One of the factors that sets the UW-Eau Claire’s Economics Department apart from other universities is the amount of student-faculty collaborative research that takes place here. In economics, research is an opportunity to pursue special interests, present at state and national conferences, and set yourself apart for grad school or employment. Our skilled faculty are excited to collaborate with you on a real-world research project of interest to you.
Located near the Economics faculty offices, this donor-funded student workspace is available for Blugolds to freely use. The space is equipped with a computer powerful enough to compute substantial data sets for research, and the pair of mounted TV screens is ideal for students to prepare for symposium presentations.

What I love about economics is the assorted career paths I can pursue with it — the sky is the limit. I value the background it has provided me as I feel it has aided me in becoming a more worldly person and more prepared to enter the workforce.
Not many students at other universities can say they practiced for job interviews with their professors on a Sunday afternoon or had research mentors spend their free time looking for exciting presentation opportunities for their students or were invited to picnics and homemade dinners. The Economics department became my second family.
